On Monday, March 25, 2002 I started my
Appalachian Trail thru-hike. A thru-hiker is some who attempts to hike the
entire 2,168 miles of the Appalachian Trail in one continuous journey.
Stretching from Springer Mountain in Georgia to Mount Katahdin in Maine,
the trail passes through fourteen states, 2 national parks and 60 state
parks. This web page was designed so that my family and friends can track my progress and share in my journey, as I make my way from Georgia to Maine. This site will be regularly updated so please check back often.
**Latest News:.... Thursday, September 26, 2002- Marc has finished! At around 10:45 A.M. Marc summited Katahdin. Total time of hike: 187 days... Total pounds lost: 17...Number aches and pains: 5,271... Thrill of finishing the trail: priceless. *** I
apologize for the delay in updating the page; my internet provider was
down for the longest time...please be patient until I post the last of the
photos. Friday,

"It
is good to have an end to journey toward; **For some reason, the hit counter reset itself twice after the first 999 hits. Please add "1,400" to the counter for an accurate total. |
